Hallmarking

The majority of our jewellery has been professionally assayed and hallmarked at the historic Edinburgh Assay Office, Scotland.

We opt for a traditional Scottish hallmark on our work which includes our unique makers mark(s), recorded in the Edinburgh Assay Office’s historic archive for future generations! *All of our pieces have been stamped with our markers mark(s), even pieces that don’t require a precious metal hallmark.

“Edinburgh Assay Office has tested and hallmarked precious metal items since 1457. We are one of four government-authorised assay offices in the UK and are based at Goldsmiths Hall in the City of Edinburgh.”

“We exist to safeguard consumers and guarantee the precious metal content of every item that carries our iconic Edinburgh Castle Hallmark.”
