one of a kind pendant inspired by the ancient cup and ring stone carvings found in northern England and southern Scotland, although these marking are found elsewhere in Britain and beyond, this area contains the largest concentration of these mysterious carvings in the world. Thought to date from the Neolithic to the early Bronze Age (between 3500-6000 years ago.) A millennia old mystery, whose true meaning is now lost to time. Cup and ring markings evoke a spirit of ancient wisdom and magic of our ancestors.

On the back of the stone is another ancient symbol, this one found at the opposite end of England in Rock Valley in Cornwall, though are also found in other parts of Europe, this labyrinth is yet another mystery but is believed to relate to spiritual rituals and rites. The carvings at Cornwall are also said to be Bronze Age, however some believe them to be much later, with suggestion that they were carved with more modern tools.

The high quality —mm oval Belcher (Rolo) chain has been hand assembled and fully soldered in our studio with an 10mm lobster clasp. It is adjustable between 18’ - 20.5" in length (approximately).

This piece has been assayed and hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office with a traditional full Scottish/UK hallmark for 925 Sterling silver. It is stamped with Alex's unique makers mark which is recorded in the Edinburgh Assay Office historic hallmarking archive.
